What is free, and what does Pro add?
Free, forever: one active vehicle (archived vehicles don't count), every entry type, photos, unlimited reminders, timeline, calendar, basic stats, daily snapshots and CSV/JSON export and import.
Pro, a one-time purchase: unlimited vehicles, advanced stats (charts, cost per mile/km, total cost of ownership, year-over-year), PDF service history and receipt scanning. No subscription. Family Sharing is supported.
How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone?
Sign in with the same Apple Account, then tap Settings → Restore purchase (also on the Pro page).
How do I move my records to a new phone?
Export a JSON backup (with photos) on the old phone (Settings → Export & Backup), send it via AirDrop or Files, then import it on the new phone (Settings → Export & Backup → Import). Existing entries are skipped automatically.
How is fuel economy calculated?
With the full-tank method: from one full fill-up to the next, distance driven divided by all fuel added in between (partial fills included). If you missed logging a fill-up, turn on "Missed previous fill-up" on the next entry and that interval is left out. Values far from your usual range are flagged instead of being averaged in. Your first full fill-up is the baseline.
My reminders don't appear.
Open Settings → Notifications → Send test notification. The diagnostics there show whether notifications are allowed, how many are scheduled and when the next one is due. Mileage-based reminders need at least two odometer readings about two weeks apart to estimate a date.
Can I change units or currency?
Yes, per vehicle in the vehicle settings. Defaults follow your device region, not the app language. Values are stored in the unit you entered them in, so switching doesn't lose precision.
Does the app know where I am?
No. OdoNote never asks for location. Station and shop names are text you type, with suggestions from your own history.
Is the PDF service history an official record?
No. It is a report of what you logged yourself. It is not a document issued by a dealer, workshop or authority.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → Delete all data removes the records from this device. To remove usage statistics or feedback we hold, write to us with the installation ID from Settings → About.
Is OdoNote still maintained?
Yes. If the app is ever discontinued, the free export and the documented format below mean your records remain usable in a spreadsheet or another app.
Export format
Export & Backup offers two formats. Both are free. Fields may be added in later versions; existing fields are not renamed or removed within a format version.
CSV (zip file)
One UTF-8, comma-separated file per record type, with a header row (English column names by default). Dates are ISO 8601 (2026-09-24T08:30:00Z), decimals use a dot, IDs are UUIDs that link the files together.

Quantities are stored in liters, kWh or kg; quantity_unit says which. Odometer values are in the vehicle's distance_unit (km or mi).
JSON backup
A complete backup that the app can import again: one JSON file (or a zip with an attachments/ folder when photos are included) with "format": "odonote-backup", a version number and arrays vehicles, entries, reminders, documents, templates, using the same field names as the CSV files.
OdoNote is a record-keeping tool. It does not give repair, safety or driving advice. Maintenance intervals are general guidance — follow your owner's manual, and leave safety-related work to qualified professionals.
